At our heart is a repertoire which spans six centuries and embraces all styles of music including music by Palestrina, Monteverdi, Byrd, Bach, Vivaldi, Mozart, Mendelssohn, Saint-Saëns, Elgar, Fauré, Vaughan Williams, Shearing, Seiber, Bernstein, Gershwin, Lloyd Webber, Chilcott and Leech.
This programme was a colourful mix of words and music spanning four centuries. The versatile pianist Caroline D’Cruz featured as a soloist in the programme as well as accompanying the group. The performance delighted our audience two of whom have commented via email; -
'What a lovely way to spend Saturday evening! I enjoyed the concert so much... You sounded so good and looked wonderfully energized ...... I enjoyed every part of it. It was good to hear the Thea Musgrove as I remember that wonderful atmosphere she produces..... and that scrumptious start with Bassani . It was great!'
'......the quality of the performance is really high. I thought it was an excellent concert in variety, length and, of course, quality. Peter is not only very knowledgeable and obviously a very experienced conductor, but a great communicator and that shines through......'
